Children in placement agencies have often experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect, and their mental health needs require special attention and care. To address these needs, Shepherd Kidz Cares prioritizes trauma-informed care practices, therapeutic interventions, support for caregivers, education and training on mental health issues, and stability in placement decisions. By doing so, we can help children in our care achieve and maintain optimal mental health, creating a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and recovery.
